The headline in my local paper tells me " SAS ordered to pay 13,000 euros compensation to a patient who fell from a hospital lavatory seat.

"So", snorts teenage soccer legend and younger son Simon, "That´s why our lads in Iraq haven´t got body armour. We´re too busy paying compensation for dodgy loo seats. 13,000 euros, wow, that´s nearly as much as Mr. B. Robson is asking on e bay for this signed photo of Jason Koumas. You know, the one that´s inscribed "Boss, I´ll play for you for evermore"

Just a sec, my 3 readers, before you complain that this is supposed to be a soccer blog, not a war report. Don´t you appreciate a delicate approach, involving seventeen passes, downfield, not across it, before the ball rolls gently into the net (theirs or ours, does it matter ?)Let me tell you that the SAS in this case means the Health Service of Andalucia.

So that's one -nil to me- My next blog, "A Bolt from the Blue" involves me, my cheese sandwich, and a broken leg at the Grangetown end of Ninian Park,. after an Easter Monday fall from , this time, a high altitude. For your equaliser, tell me when this happened.
